| So, as a follow up to my last entry, let me get one piece o' housekeeping out of the way - "The Three Scotts" picture will be posted later tonight. I also have a few others I hope to show as well as the great BRBG pics I took in CT almost a year ago. Spiffy stuff!
I'm understandably anxious about this weekend. My parents are coming into town and they're meeting Heather for the first time. I know she'll "pass with flying colors" but this close to the six month mark with someone always makes me nervous (even if we kinda sorta peeked at rings for fun over the weekend). The crappy part is I need to clean ye olde condo...I'm good at it, but man I hate cleaning...
The first of the Batmobiles arrived and a few more are on their way this week...they're so cool! I also found this Superman die cast toy on eBay:
I used to have one of these as a kid and always regretted having lost it (or sold it in a garage sale - I honestly don't remember which). On the other hand, being able to get a hold of an item like this in such good condition tickles me to no end! I'm told these items are rare now, good thing they're cheap, too!
On a related note, I listened a little too much to my sense of nostaglia and went after (eBay again) a working (yes, I said a working copy - these are rare) Batman alarm clock:
Again, this brings back happy memories of my childhood...and the fact that I'm such a deep sleeper and it being so quiet that I slept through the damn alarm every morning... I have no idea why Batman's head makes him look like "Puppy Dog Man," the Batmobile is a weird shade of purple or why Robin's head is so fuckingly large...it makes me laugh though. As an extra bonus, I believe Adam West and Burt Ward did the voices for the alarm. Beat that with a stick!
